Finally! The promised review!
I’m still not into water-based tints these days because I feel like it’s too drying for my already dry lips, but I still want to share my thoughts on this (probably) new lip tint from Tony Moly. I already tried their famous lip tint HERE, and I got this one in a mini size for review purpose by Koreabeauty ^_^ (By the way, looks like they had problem with Indonesia’s custom office and a lot of their packages are being held there. I don’t know what happened now. A lot of people are still waiting for their items, so I’d recommend you to check their profile before ordering to see how they are now). So how do I like it?
The packaging is super cute! It’s made of plastic and really sturdy. The bottle is a fuschia color and the cap is black. The cutest thing is the cap is in the shape of a heart! The actual product size has the heart-shaped cap, but it’s super cute that they bring that design to the mini version as well ^_^
The applicator is the usual doe foot applicator. Nothing fancy of the applicator 🙂 The cap is the twist off type like all lip tints.
Here is the swatch of the color on my skin. It blends out nicely and it smells kinda like cherry! It doesn’t dry too fast so you don’t really have to hurry. However, if you took too long, there will be patches. I need to say that this is a little thicker in consistency compared to their previous tony tint. This is less drying on me, and it stays for 2-3 hours. I have a habit of licking my lips sometimes, though. This one also only stain my inner lips, which sucks because it looks like I got a red halo ring on my lips T_T I guess my lips are not meant to be with water-based tints 😦
Sorry for the low quality shot 😦 Well, it does looks good on my lips. My bare lips is quite pale, so this tint gives a healthy reddish color on my lips ^_^ Oh, this lip tint has a bit of taste, like… cherries, maybe? It kinda tastes fruity, but I can’t make out which fruit. I will just guess cherry 😛
Positive sides
- Less drying than the previous water-based tony tint I tried.
- Blends out nicely.
- Smells sweet and tastes a bit sweet. Doesn’t have a bitter taste at all.
- Cute and sturdy packaging, ideal for travelling.
- The actual product size is available in 3 colors, red, pink, or orange.
Negative sides
- Leaves me with red halo ring on my lips 😦 Boo lips!

Will I repurchase this? Nope. I think water-based tints won’t ever work on my dry lips.

Same here I also always get the ugly halo ring on the inner part of my lips no matter how well I blend the tint 😦 I don’t think I’ll try another water-based lip tint again in the future, maybe will try the cream ones 😡
I always blame the water-based tints because I think my lips are not different than anyone else, except the fact that it’s super dry.
